Meet our senior team members below.
Stuart started the business back in 2010, after setting up his own asset finance broker business, Prolease Ltd in 1991.
By day, Stuart is the founder and MD at Promarine Finance, but when not in the office, Stuart has a life-long passion for being out on the water.
Following a childhood being only vaguely aware of dinghy racing in Birmingham and a visit to Earl’s Court Boat Show in his early 20s, Stuart found he had an unexplainable interest wanting to own a sailing yacht. But it wasn’t until 2005, after a family holiday, dinghy sailing in Greece that Stuart’s sailing journey finally began.
Stuart is now a keen sailor, having owned several boats and enjoys long distance running, cycling and keeping fit (when he’s not suffering from running injuries).
Liza Austin is a Director at Promarine and is Stuart’s wife. Within the business, Liza’s role focuses on ensuring all the paperwork for our customers is managed impeccably, whilst overseeing the day-to-day running of the business.
Living on the Welsh / Herefordshire borders, Liza enjoys an active lifestyle which includes horseriding, competitive running and cooking – whilst enjoying sailing in warmer climates.
Charlie is Promarine’s New Business Manager, ensuring a swift and personable experience for both clients and brokers.
Being brought up in the cotswolds, Charlie learnt to sail as a teen at his local sailing club, whilst working for Jatski UK. Charlie’s love for dinghy sailing continued into his 30s, working for RS sailing which enabled him to race competitively all over Europe, with accolades including RS 700 Europeans Champion, RS Elite National Champion and Cowes week class winner, to name but a few.
Now living on the beautiful Hamble River on the south coast, Charlie now enjoys sailing with his family, and spending time with his black Labrador, Monty.
Matt, who has been involved in asset finance for over 30 years with the last 25 years specialising in the inland waterways sector, will be using his experience to bring Promarine’s clients the very best advice and service for their marine purchases.
Born and raised in Abingdon on Thames in Oxfordshire, Matt’s had a lifelong passion for everything water-based and is keen to get as many people as possible on the water.
Founder of the ‘Favourite Boat of Show’ competition at Crick Boat Show, Matt has owned canoes, sailing dinghies and wind surfers over the years and enjoyed many trips on the rivers and canals in and around Oxfordshire.
