
With the start of the Aegean 600 now almost here, the excitement is building as Promarine Finance’s Stuart Austin and the crew of Quick Decision complete their final preparations in Greece. Racing his Outremer 4X in the MOCRA class, this is Stuart’s fourth time competing in the Aegean 600.
With the crew all now aboard and in excellent spirits, attention is now turning firmly to Sunday’s start line.

Widely regarded as one of the Mediterranean’s most spectacular offshore races, the Aegean 600 covers approximately 605 nautical miles around the stunning Greek islands, combining breathtaking scenery with demanding offshore sailing. The route is renowned for testing crews with everything from light coastal breezes to powerful Meltemi winds, making preparation, teamwork and good decision-making essential throughout the race.

The crew have been busy carrying out final checks, completing race formalities, and ensuring Quick Decision is fully prepared for the challenge ahead.
With scrutineering now passed, she’s ready!

While there has been time to enjoy the atmosphere ashore and catch up with fellow competitors, the focus is now firmly on the adventure that lies ahead as the countdown is nearly over. This year sees Ellie Driver and her dad Jim join the crew, between her busy schedule competing on her own boat!
